When submitting a request please include the following information. Requests that don't follow this instructions might be silently ignored.

• Your full name (e.g., John Doe) as you would like it to appear on the scoreboard and your personal U.S. map.

• A userid you would like to use (e.g., jdoe) as you would like it to appear on the site. Use any combination of letters, numbers, and the underscore ("_") character. Please do not use spaces, periods, or other special characters in your requested user id. There is also a 16 character limit on the length of your userid.

• A password you would like to use. Use any combination of letters and numbers. Passwords are stored in plaintext on the server and are sometimes visible in URLs. For your security you should not use the same password on this site that you use on other sites that have your personal information. Passwords on this site are meant to provide a basic defense against a random immature visitor erasing the 500 counties you just entered last week.

• Your hometown or your current residence, or your parents' hometown, or whatever is on your drivers' license.

After you receive the email that tells you your account is set up, you can begin entering your counties by putting in your name and password on the form at the upper left of the site's home page.

Your U.S. and/or Canada maps are generated off-line. There may be a 10-60 minute delay between the time you have entered some new counties and the time those counties show up on your national maps, which can be accessed at
